The Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) will no longer accept paper lodgments from certain entities and parties as of January 1st 2019.
The move is aimed at nudging regular users of IPA’s registration services to lodge applications online rather than filing paper forms at the IPA counters.
The Authority is going on a campaign advising the public that it will no longer accept paper lodgments from the following category of clients;
- Individuals who are authorized to file documents for more than 10 different proposed or registered business entities with IPA;
- Registered corporate entity(ies) authorized to file documents on behalf of a proposed or registered business entity with IPA;
- Proposed or registered business entity(ies) that has/have foreign owners; or directors and/or shareholders; and
- Proposed or registered overseas business entity or its authorized representative(s).
To compensate the move, the IPA has made a commitment to provide basic training on how to use its online registry services. The trainings will be at no cost to those interested and will be for a limited time only.
The IPA is urging individuals or organizations to take advantage of the online registry system and file all business services online.
