The goal of the Corporate Services Division is to maintain an organizational environment that is conducive for efficient and timely realization of corporate goals through the provision of information technology, prudent financial management, and human resource development and administration support services.

The core support functions provided to the Authority include the administration of an Information Technology system as all registration services of the Authority are automated. Financial management and human resource development are other important support services.

The division interfaces and networks with suppliers of goods and services for the Authority to ensure that quality goods and services are received in a timely manner and within budget for the smooth operations of the Authority.

Information Technology Section

Information Technology Unit extends support to all IPA divisions with a particular focus on maintaining the Company Registration (CORE) database system for the Registrar of Companies Office and the Business Information Facilitation Division and Intellectual Property Automation System (IPAS) Database System for the Intellectual Property office of PNG.

The entire IPA computer systems were upgraded under the CORE Phase II Project which was completed in February 2007. The upgrade has increased the storage capacity of the system and allows for more efficient company information retrieval services to stakeholders. The new IT infrastructure will allow for further enhancement to the CORE system with possible inclusion of an online lodgments system in future for IPA business clients.
