Investors willing to explore business opportunities in Papua New Guinea have available to them numerous incentives to assist in their investment decision-making. The government has a range of direct and indirect taxation incentives based incentives for large and small proposals.
IPA Other Services
The IPA is the organisation that houses the Companies Office of PNG, the Securities Commission of PNG and the Intellectual Property Office of PNG, hence the roles and functions of the IPA is diversed.
The IPA is also the point of identification of markets for PNG exports and dissemination of investor- related information about PNG.
Business people investigating the investment potential of PNG are encouraged to contact the Investment Promotion Authority first to obtain information about the rules and regulation of conducting business in the country, the best persons to contact about their investment interests, and any other assistance that they may require.

The Investment Promotion Authority has now brought its services online. This means now people can do entity searches, obtain entity extracts and do other lodgements online.
Please note that the following Online Services are NOT yet available:
1. Register a PNG Company
2. Register a Business Name; and
3. File Annual Return
These services will be available as soon as ALL legal requirements have been fulfilled.
